The Firm established its bluegrass roots in Kentucky in 2020 when senior associate attorney, Stacey K. Skillman, returned to Kentucky, where she grew up, to be closer to family and longtime friends. Lexington, Kentucky is the geographical center of Kentucky’s famous Bluegrass region. The Bluegrass region contains Kentucky’s best agricultural lands, including abundant bluegrass, and became famous for breeding fine horses, as the calcium-rich soil imparts its minerals to the grass and thence into the horses’ bones. Transylvania University.
Louisville, Kentucky is the home of the Kentucky Derby, traditionally held on the first Saturday in May at the legendary Churchill Downs. This horse race is one of the most well-known Grade 1 Thoroughbred stakes races in the world and kicks off the American Triple Crown of horse racing. Louisville is situated along the Ohio River and boasts four beautiful parks designed by Frederick Law Olmstead, New York’s Central Park Planner. Louisville is also home to the University of Louisville, the iconic Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, and the Muhammed Ali Center.
